It's a good idea, no doubt. Dug with a chap last year who had a large bag that carried his tools, first aid , lunch and even a spare coat thrown in and it was handy.

I always carry mine in a hiking bag with a few nets water a spike etc no one notices an has everything u need

I've a 70 litre bag I normally put all stuff in if I'm walking not on quad, can put 4 spades ,little pinch bar, bag of nets , and ur bait all you have in ur hands are gun and leaders

 

That sounds like what I saw, although I wouldn't know what a 70 liter bag looks like. Is it bigger than a golf club bag ?

2 piece spade mate, half dozen nets a wee hand saw, water , spike with couples an a wee hand hatchet, a bit of weight but not long getting used to iit

Bit conspicuous that mate! We use the 2 piece shovels in the bag when we're sneaking about on places we shouldn't be. And if we're on permission we carry the gear or park close enough to the earths that hardly any shovel carrying is required.lol
